Thursday: EPA regulations, nominations

The House will continue to vote on legislation aimed at ending EPA regulations, while the Senate again clears some of President Obama’s nominations.

The House will consider a bill, H.R. 4795, that would require the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to make public the number of permits it issues under the Clean Air Act’s New Source Review Program.

{mosads}The measure is part of the House GOP’s slate of legislation this week to limit EPA rulemaking.

Votes are expected no later than 3 p.m.

The Senate starts at 9:30 a.m. and will finish work on executive and judicial nominations.

On Wednesday, the Senate voted to end debate on the nominations of Pamela Pepper, Brenda Sannes, Madeline Cox Arleo, Wendy Beetlestone and Victor Bolden to be district court judges across the country.

Their confirmation votes are expected to start at 2 p.m., along with several others which will be confirmed by voice-vote.
