Warren: Go Sox!

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) congratulated the Boston Red Sox on Thursday for their World Series victory.

“I’m here to congratulate the Boston Red Sox team for an outstanding season,” Warren said on the Senate floor. “Go Sox.”

{mosads}The Red Sox defeated the St. Louis Cardinals Wednesday night 6-1 in the 6th game of the series. It’s the third World Series the team has won in the last 10 years.

Warren said the team has been a “symbol of Boston’s strength and resilience” after the Boston Marathon bombing shook the city earlier this year. She added that the team was “Boston Strong.”

Warren did not gloat though, she also congratulated the Cardinals on their hard work and effort.
