Thursday: California shooting, transportation
Senators on Thursday will get a closed-door briefing on last week’s California shooting that killed 14 people.
The Senate is expected to be in “morning business,” allowing lawmakers to give general speeches, until 3 p.m. The Senate will then recess from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. for an all-members briefing.

Votes in the House are expected between 4:15 p.m. and 5:15 p.m.
