Monday: Nominations
The Senate will vote on a judicial nomination on Monday afternoon.
Senators are expected to convene at 4 p.m. for leader remarks and morning business. At 5:00 p.m. they will begin any debate over Dale Drozd’s nomination to be U.S. district judge for the Eastern District of California, with a vote expected at 5:30 p.m.
{mosads}Democrats have repeatedly slammed Republican leadership for only bringing up a handful of judges for votes since they took over the Senate majority in January. Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) tried to get three judges approved last month, but was blocked.
Meanwhile, the House will hold a pro forma session at 2 p.m. No votes are expected.
