Tuesday: Suspensions

The House will vote on noncontroversial bills under suspension of the rules on Tuesday, while the Senate awaits action on immigration.

The House will convene at noon for morning hour and 2 p.m. for legislative business. Votes will be postponed until 6:30 p.m. on legislation including a bill directing a study on testing algal toxins in drinking water.

Due to Senate rules and the lack of a unanimous consent agreement, the Senate cannot vote yet on a new bill announced by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) freezing President Obama’s 2014 immigration actions.
