Monday: Suspensions, child care

The House and Senate return Monday to consider noncontroversial measures.

The Senate will convene at 2 p.m. for leadership remarks. At 5:30 p.m., the Senate will vote to clear the Child Care and Development Block Grant Act.

{mosads}Afterward, senators will vote to invoke cloture on the nominations of Leslie Joyce Adams to be U.S. district judge for the middle district of Georgia, Mark Howard Cohen to be the U.S. district judge for the northern district of Georgia and Eleanor Louise Ross to be the U.S. district judge for the northern district of Georgia.

Meanwhile, the House will convene at noon for morning hour and 2 p.m. for legislative business. The House will consider measures under suspension of the rules, including bills to name post offices. Votes will be at 6:30 p.m.
