Friday: Keystone vote
The House will vote Friday on legislation to approve construction of the Keystone XL pipeline.
Votes are expected to take place upon the conclusion of the House GOP conference meeting, which is scheduled to last until noon. Members concluded general debate on the measure Thursday evening.
{mosads}House Republicans brought the bill to the floor as a means to help Rep. Bill Cassidy (R-La.) in his Dec. 6 runoff election against Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-La.). The Senate will vote next week on a similar measure to approve the pipeline to boost Landrieu.
The Senate is not in session.
