House continues Interior amendment work, kills five from ranking Democrat

Norm Dicks (D-Wash.), strike language preventing boater safety checks on the Yukon River within the Yukon-Charley National Preserve. Failed 174-237.

Dicks, strike language prohibiting civil actions in federal court dealing with grazing on public lands until all administrative hearings and appeals are exhausted. Rejected voice vote.

Dicks, strike language prohibiting judicial review of Interior Department rulemaking on gray wolves, including removing them from the endangered species list, when a state has entered into a wolf management agreement with Interior. Failed 174-250.

Dicks, strike language allowing the Bureau of Land Management to complete an environmental review of moving livestock over federal lands. Rejected voice vote.

Dicks, strike language requiring the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement to provide quarterly reports to Congress detailing reasons for refusing a permit for energy exploration in the Outer Continental Shelf. Rejected voice vote.

Jim Moran (D-Va.), strike language prohibiting the Secretary of the Interior from implementing the “wild lands” order issued in 2010. Rejected voice vote.

John Fleming (R-La.), cut $48.2 million from EPA’s Environmental Programs and Management. Rejected voice vote.

Laura Richardson (D-Calif.), reduce EPA Buildings and Facilities fund by $10 million, add $5 million to the Diesel Emissions Production Grant fund. Failed 193-232.
