Grimm back in DC for votes
Rep. Michael Grimm (R-N.Y.) returned to Capitol Hill on Tuesday a day after he was indicted on 20 federal criminal counts.
{mosads}Upon entering the House chamber, Grimm walked along the back side, rather than through the middle of the floor. He did not appear to engage in extended conversations with colleagues.
Grimm did not attend Monday night’s House votes. The former FBI agent turned himself in to authorities Monday morning on criminal charges including perjury and employing illegal immigrants at a New York City restaurant he once owned.
Another scandal-ensnared House Republican, Rep. Vance McAllister (La.), who was caught on camera kissing a staffer, also returned to Capitol Hill this week. Unlike Grimm, McAllister skipped votes for a week after the video was leaked.
