Acting Secret Service director to testify before House panel

Acting Secret Service Director Joseph Clancy will appear before the House Judiciary Committee next week in light of recent agency mishaps.

The Secret Service came under fire after a man scaled the White House fence on Sept. 19 and entered the residence, making it all the way into the East Room. A Washington Post report also found that the Secret Service fumbled its response to a shooter whose bullets landed near the White House’s Truman Balcony.
