New Homeland Security chief to meet the House
Jeh Johnson, the newly confirmed secretary of Homeland Security, will meet with members of the House next week to discuss his vision for keeping the nation safe.
Johnson will meet with members of the House Homeland Security Committee on Wednesday, a hearing that was originally scheduled for earlier in the month.
{mosads}The meeting is one of several oversight hearings that various House committees will hold next week. A House Energy and Commerce subcommittee will examine how the Obama administration may be making Medicare Part D more expensive.
A House Financial Services subcommittee will examine allegations of improper lobbying at the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
And, the House Judiciary Committee will hold a hearing called “Enforcing the President’s Constitutional Duty to Faithfully Execute the Laws.”
