Committed to Keeping America Safe

Democrats have repeatedly said that Republicans have failed to make our country as safe as it should be. However, you don’t just have to take our word for it – for a true evaluation of how Republicans have failed on homeland security, look no further than the bipartisan 9/11 Commission’s report card.  For example, the Commission gave the Bush Administration and Congress a “D” on critical infrastructure risks and vulnerabilities assessment, an “F” on improving airline passenger pre-screening, and a “D” on checked bag and cargo screening.

In response to these Republican failures, Democrats have put forth a Real Security set of proposals that will ensure the full implementation of the 9/11 Commission’s recommendations. Democrats are committed to keeping America safe and secure, and will lead America in a new direction to make us safer and stronger.
