Colbert: I’m Coming For You Emanuel

On The Colbert Report last night, host Stephen Colbert responded to an article in The Hill last Thursday that unveiled that Democratic Caucus Chairman Rahm Emanuel (D-Ill.) would prefer freshman Democrats to stay away from the popular comedy program.

The show features a segment called “Better Know a District” in which Colbert grills Congressmen, inevitably baiting them into saying something they might later regret.

“There is a new witch hunt in Washington,” Colbert said, “The Democratic leadership has unleashed a vicious attack on everything America holds dear: me.”

Colbert responded by unleashing his own attack on Emanuel, saying that his show “is the only thing keeping the Congressman from realizing his [liberal] agenda.”

“I’m coming for you Emanuel,” Colbert concluded.
