Pelosi’s War Funding Bill Should Mandate Safe Withdrawal (Rep. Lynn Woosley)
As we wait to see the details on this bill, I want to make on thing clear – this is not a dispute over funding levels, but a question of whether or not we’re going to stand up to the President on behalf of the American people. It doesn’t matter if we’re voting to send the President $50 billion or $50,000, this Congress should only pass funding bills for Iraq that are used to fully fund the safe and orderly withdrawal of our brave men and women from Iraq, and bring them home to their families.
