Great Decider Stiffs the American People (Rep. Dave Obey)
The American public sent two signals to this town in the last election. They wanted a change in Iraqi policy; they wanted a change in domestic policy.
On both counts, the president is telling the American people, “I don’t care what message you think you’re sending. I’m the Great Decider, I’m going to do it my way.” And he’s not just stiffing the Congress, he’s stiffing the American people.
