Congress Has a Long Way to Go Before Christmas (Rep. Charles Boustany)
Congress must fulfill its obligations to the American people — primarily the 11 appropriations bills. Folks in Southwest Louisiana and around the country need some stability as they prepare for the upcoming year, and a new Farm Bill could provide this necessary certainty, if the political games would stop. We have passed some important legislation this year, but Congress has a long way to go. The American people expect more from us in Washington, and we in Congress must complete our Constitutional requirements.
