The men and women of our Armed Forces and their families must have the utmost confidence in the life-saving equipment provided by the Pentagon. The disturbing Dateline NBC story comparing the Interceptor and Dragon Skin body armor systems raised many important questions.
Before passing judgment, I believe we must have the Government Accountability Office — an independent organization — test the two products side-by-side. This test can allay these concerns and let us know that the equipment provided to our troops is of the highest possible quality. I am pleased that other Members of Congress have joined me in calling for this review.
