Earmark Process Must Be Visible (Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen)

I support having a fully transparent and clear earmark process. I routinely issue media advisories on projects which I have fought for and which are a benefit to all my constituents.

My top priorities are the funding of important local government initiatives that create jobs and economic opportunities in my Congressional District; colleges and universities and any educational program that benefits our youth and important environmental projects that seek to protect and better the quality of our air, water and other natural resources.

I was sent to Washington by the residents of my District so that I could fight on their behalf and for their interests. I am an advocate for their issues in a transparent and clear way that does justice to the hard work we accomplish every day here in the halls of Congress.

We have nothing to hide when we labor day in and day out on finding solutions to the problems that affect our country. We should be proud of the work we accomplish here.
