Speaking at a presidential forum at the NAACP Convention, former Sen. John Edwards (D-N.C.) announced that on Monday he will begin traveling to impoverished areas of the country such as New Orleans, Mississippi and Arkansas to talk about his “Two Americas” campaign about poverty.
“Doing something about the two Americas is the cause of my life,” Edwards said. “One of the things I’ll be doing beginning next week is trying to create a spotlight on the other America – the poverty that exists all around this country.”
