Under the guise of helping care for children in need, this Democrat majority is using the SCHIP program to push their agenda of expanding government-run health care. This is a dangerous step in the wrong direction, and it does not serve the health and well-being of the American people. Health care decisions should be made by patients and their doctors – not bureaucrats or insurance companies.
We all can agree that our children need and deserve the highest quality and affordable health care. But, instead of relying on Washington politicians to make our health care decisions, we should be giving more freedom and choices to real people. The Democrat plan places a trust in government over trust in patients, families and doctors.
Let’s not surrender our health care freedom. Rather, let’s support a patient-centered approach which puts patients in charge and creates choices, portability and affordability.
