Iraqis Are Too Dependent (Rep. Howard Coble)

I think it is clear that the military has been working very diligently in Iraq. However, I am still very disappointed in the Iraqi Army because they are still very dependent. We are doing all the heavy lifting, and the longer we are there the Iraqi’s are going to grow more and more dependent. I don’t see that they’ve met any of the benchmarks, and that is cause for concern. Furthermore, I am looking forward to some troop withdrawal. It is the commanders on the ground who need to make those decisions, but I prefer sooner than later.
