Brother of Reps. Sanchez Believed to be Dead
Investigators believe they’ve found the body of Henry Sanchez, the brother of Reps. Loretta and Linda Sanchez (D-Calif.), lost since his boat crashed Oct. 2.
Henry Sanchez and his girlfriend, Penny Avila, had been in a small boat that collided with a barge in Los Angeles waters, reports the Los Angeles Times. Recovery workers on Thursday found two bodies that they believe to be Sanchez and Avila, the newspaper reported.
The couple had been missing since last week’s collision, seen on radar just after midnight. The pilot of the 128-foot barge didn’t know that a crash had occurred, according to investigators.
