Report: Clinton Offered Secretary of State Post

President-elect Barack Obama has asked Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) to become Secretary of State in his administration, reports The Huffington Post.

Clinton said that she needed time to consider the offer, according to two senior Democratic officials who spoke to the Post.

Obama asked Clinton to join his Cabinet on Thursday when they met in Chicago, the sources said.
