Reid: Kennedy “In Good Shape”
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) gave an optimistic progress report on ailing Sen. Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.), saying he visited the senator on Tuesday and spoke with him again for a lengthy conversation Wednesday morning.
Reid said Kennedy called him at home and said he was recovering well from a seizure he suffered during the post-inaugural luncheon Tuesday honoring President Barack Obama. Kennedy spent the night at Washington Hospital Center and was released Wednesday morning.
“He’s in good shape,” Reid said. “I was told…That he was very tired, and cold weather is very bad for any type of problem like he has, and everybody knows how cold it was. But he was talking last night and he was talking a lot this morning.”
