Rep. Culberson Will Broadcast Live from Inauguration

Media outlets and star-struck onlookers won’t be the only ones rolling tape at President-elect Barack Obama’s inauguration next Tuesday.

Rep. John Culberson (R-Texas) will join the ranks of videographers, he said Thursday, announcing that he would be broadcasting videos of the inauguration live from his spot in the audience of the swearing-in.

Culberson, an active user of technologies and new media, said on his Twitter site that he will broadcast videos live before and during the inaugural ceremony to Qik.com so that, he said, “you can see it from my perspective.”

Earlier today, Culberson uploaded a nearly-20 minute video to his Qik account, in which he personally previews the Capitol ahead of the inauguration.
