Burris makes unexpected landing in Pittsburgh
Sen. Roland Burris (D-Ill.) found himself in a shaky situation this weekend when he tried to fly home to Illinois.
The Associated Press reports that Burris’s flight made an unscheduled landing in Pittsburgh after encountering mechanical problems in air.
Jim O’Connor, a spokesman for Burris, told the AP that there were loud noises and the plane became “shaky and turbulent” before the landing.
Pilots said the problem was a hydraulic failure, O’Connor also said.
Burris was unhurt.
