The economic stimulus package headed for a vote in the Senate is a disaster, one conservative lawmaker said Saturday.
Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) told MarketWatch that the package that emerged after a compromise from centrist Senators is “nothing short of a disaster.”
“It has nothing whatsoever to do with creating jobs,” Corker added.
The Senate is set to vote on a compromise package early next week. The size of the bill is said to be smaller than the $825 billion price tag reached in the House, hovering in the range of $780 billion.
