Blago signs up for ‘Survivor’-like reality show

File this under “must see reality TV.”

Indicted former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich (D) has signed on to appear on “I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here,” the Chicago Tribune reports. The NBC show, set to air on June 1, involves dropping 10 celebrities into a jungle to test their survival skills. Like many reality shows, viewers will vote off cast members.

The Tribune gets to the root of why Blagojevich might be interested: The show would pay him $80,000 per week.

It will also give Blagojevich a chance to prove his survival skills.

Blagojevich will need to get permission from the federal judge presiding over his case to travel to Costa Rica, where the show is set to be filmed.

I don’t know about you, but my TiVo is already set.
