Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) sat down with Politics Daily to discuss her unique position of being one of the few mothers of young children in the Senate before Mother’s Day tomorrow.
Gillibrand said that her experience had underscored the need for more affordable healthcare and other issues to benefit families.
The New York lawmaker also said that she often takes her kids to school and daycare each morning when she can, and tries to take them back to New York as often as possible.
