Executives from General Motors and Chrysler will be on Capitol Hill Wednesday to face lawmakers on the Senate Commerce Committee.
GM CEO Fritz Henderson and Chrysler President James Press will appear for a hearing on dealership closures, but are sure to face questions more broadly about the health of the industry.
Chrysler has announced it will close 789 dealerships, while GM hopes to close as many as 2,100 dealers by July 10, the Detroit Free Press reported.
The hearing is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon.
