Obamas to celebrate July 4th with military families

The President will travel to Camp David tomorrow to join First Lady Michelle Obama and their daughters, Sasha and Malia, who arrived at the retreat earlier today. The first family plans to spend Friday night at the Catoctin Mountain Park residence and return to Washington on July 4th for Independence Day festivities.

On Saturday evening the Obamas will host more than 1,200 “military heroes and their families,” at a barbeque on the South Lawn of the White House, where they will be joined by the families of White House staff. The President is scheduled to give brief remarks, and Marine Band is the featured entertainment.
