Obama Surprises Biden With Birthday Cupcakes
Vice President-elect Joe Biden received a birthday surprise from the President-elect Barack Obama after the two’s weekly lunch Wednesday, a transition team source said.
Obama brought out a dozen cupcakes, which he lit and then brought them over to the vice president-elect, joking, “You’re 12 years old!”
“Maybe in dog years!” replied Biden, who turns 66-years-old Thursday.
Obama also surprised Biden with an array of gifts related to Chicago. Biden received a Chicago White Sox baseball cap, a Chicago Bears hat, and a bucket of Garrett’s popcorn, from their gourmet store in the Windy City.
