Romney Prepping 2012 Run?

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney (R) is using funds from his Free and Strong America PAC to finance a potential run again for the White House in 2012, the Boston Globe reported Monday.

Looking at the PAC’s finances, the Globe found that only 12 percent of the organization’s $2.1 million raised has gone to support other Republican candidates, with much of the rest going to pay for salaries and fees for consultants and longtime political associates.

“The main purpose of Mitt Romney’s PAC is to enable him to travel around the country on virtually a full-time basis to campaign and raise funds for candidates and to promote policies that will strengthen America,” spokesman Eric Fehrnstrom told the Globe.
