Obama to Give Inaugural Tickets to Donors, Essayists
President-elect Obama’s transition team will award 10 supporters coveted tickets to the inauguration. All they have to do is donate to the inaugural committee or write an essay.
Donations can be made on Obama’s transition website, which advertises the inauguration as one funded by grassroots supporters instead of lobbyists or corporations. Those who want tickets but don’t want to donate can write about what the inauguration means to them.
The lucky winners will be flown to Washington, D.C. for the Jan. 20 inaugural along with a guest.
The deadline for entries is Jan. 8.
