Newsweek Launches ‘The Hills’ Parody for D.C.
Newsweek has taken D.C. to another dimension, launching a parody of MTV’s highly-produced semireality show “The Hills” about the Obama administration, called “The District.”
The webisode, airing every Monday, features an Obama voice impersonator (Iman Crosson) describing the week’s high political drama in the style of the MTV hit, straight down to pop music and sweeping D.C. visuals littering the production.
The first episode, “The Challenges we Face,” features Obama talking about his move to Washington, and his “frenemies” Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden.
Next week? The Senate votes on the stimulus.
