Obama Announces Teams to Review Agencies and Policy

President-elect Barack Obama announced the membership Friday of a variety of committees charged with reviewing the policy and personnel of various White House and cabinet agencies before the next administration takes office.

The 11 committees that will be reviewing such departments over the coming weeks will be led by a three-person group of co-chairmen. One co-chair, Melody Barnes, is a former adviser to the Obama campaign and Executive Vice President for the Center for American Progress. Barnes is joined by Lisa Brown, is on leave as Executive Director of the American Constitution Society for Law and Policy, and Don Gips, a Group Vice President at Level 3 Communications.
