Bushes to Do ABC News Interview

President Bush and Laura Bush will sit down this week with ABC News for an interview, which could be the first in a string of final interviews as the First Couple.

The interview will air Dec. 1. The Bushes will talk with ABC’s Charlie Gibson at Camp David and will fly with him on Marine One, reports Variety. The talk “will cover a variety of topics, including: their reflections on the past eight years and the current state of the country, what life outside of Washington will hold, and their advice for the incoming first family,” according to ABC.

The interview is ABC News’s second big “get” in the past few months. Gibson was the first to have a one-on-one interview Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin after she was named the GOP vice presidential nominee.
