Report: Gates to Remain as Defense Secretary

Secretary of Defense Robert Gates will keep his post in the Obama administration, reports ABC News.

A source close to the process told ABC that it was “a done deal.”

The formal announcement is likely to be made after Thanksgiving. President-elect Obama will roll out the rest of his national security team at the same time, including the appointment of Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) as secretary of State.
