First Lady sneaks out to ‘Five Guys’

First Lady Michelle Obama confessed Thursday to occasionally sneaking out of the White House with her staffers to get food at D.C. burger joint Five Guys.

“Nobody knew it, and it was good,” Obama told about 100 kids at the White House this morning, according to a pool report. The children were at the White House for “Take Your Child to Work” Day.

Obama said that she and her staffers “sneak out” from time to time, implying more instances of secret excursions than the Five Guys trip. Mrs. Obama made an undeclared trip to southern cooking hotspot Georgia Brown’s in late January, where she lunched with D.C. Mayor Adrian Fenty (D).

Five Guys is a Washington, D.C. metro area-based burger chain adored by denizens.
