President-elect Barack Obama met with Martin Luther King, Dr.’s son of the same name Monday on the holiday commemorating the legacy of the slain civil rights leader.
During a visit to wounded veterans at the D.C.-area Walter Reed Medical Center, Martin Luther King III was spotted heading inside the hospital, according to a pool report.
King will travel with the president-elect to Obama’s next event, one of the many service projects in which Obama and other incoming administration officials will participate today.
According to the report, King is expected to also participate in the service. He is one of three of King’s surviving children.
