Senators, Including Kennedy, Walk Out Onto Dais
A group of U.S. senators have arrived on the inauguration dais on the west side of the Capitol.
The group included Sen. Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.), who wore a hat and a scarf and used no cane to walk. Kennedy, 76, is battling brain cancer, but he is again working full-time.
Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), who was feted by President-elect Obama on Monday night, walked out with his long-time ally, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.).
