Bush Arrives for Final Flight to ‘Air Force One’ Score

When former President George W. Bush arrived by helicopter to take his last trip on what was Air Force One, he was greeted by a perhaps foreboding omen: the main score from the movie “Air Force One.”

A video of the former president’s arrival at Edwards Air Force uploaded by former Deputy Chief of Staff Karl Rove records a crowd awaiting Bush’s arrival to the theme from the 1997 movie. Starring Harrison Ford, the movie is about terrorists who hijack the presidential plane, causing the president to take back control of his plane by force.

The score, by composer Jerry Goldsmith, has been used in a number of movies and public events since the debut of the movie.
