Former Sen. DeWine to run for Ohio AG
Former Sen. Mike DeWine (R-Ohio) will make a return to politics, announcing Wednesday he’s running for attorney general of Ohio.
DeWine, a former lieutenant governor and two-term senator from Ohio, told the Associated Press that he’ll seek the statewide office during the 2010 elections next fall.
DeWine was swept from office in the 2006 Democratic landslides, losing to now-Sen. Sherrod Brown (D) by a 56-44 percent final tally.
DeWine will likely face incumbent Democratic Attorney General Richard Cordray, if DeWine wins the Republican primary.
