Gibbons launches bare bones, confusing website
Nevada Gov. Jim Gibbons (R) is up, sort of, with his reelection website.
The website, www.jimgibbonsgovernor2010.com, launched on Tuesday and isn’t entirely flawless. Notice the nice spelling of “vidio” on the left side. It also doesn’t really have a homepage.
Gibbons, who has endured his fair share of controversy, may have a difficult road to reelection. Polling in May showed that 54 percent of Nevadans would definitely vote for someone else in 2010 if they election were held at the time of the survey. Only 11 percent said they would vote to reelect him in the Mason-Dixon poll.
So far, no Democrat has announced he or she will run against Gibbons. Only former state Sen. Joe Heck, a Republican, has declared his candidacy.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s (D-Nev.) son, Rory, is considered a possible Democratic challenger. State Assembly Speaker Barbara Buckley (D) is another possibility.
