Reid diplomatic on Burris resignation
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), who has had a hot-cold relationship with Sen. Roland Burris (D-Ill.) this year, opted for diplomacy Friday when asked about Burris’s decision against running for re-election in 2010.
“I respect Senator Burris’ decision and look forward to continuing to work with him through the remainder of his term,” Reid said via e-mail through his spokesman, Jim Manley. “I wish him and his family the best.”
