Judge Threatens to Shut Down Case against Sen. Stevens
Judge Emmet G. Sullivan just erupted at the Justice Department for not providing the court a comprehensive list of witnesses, and warned that he would shut down the prosecution’s case against Sen. Ted Stevens if he doesn’t get immediate answers.
Sullivan, normally mild-mannered and friendly, said the fact that the government has not yet provided a list of witnesses for Monday’s proceedings shows “insensitivity and intolerance”
“We’re not playing games,” she said, telling Sullivan that her colleagues at the department
