Google CEO Backs Obama
Google chief executive officer Eric Schmidt will endorse Barack Obama for president, according to The Wall Street Journal.
Schmidt told the newspaper that his support for Obama is a “natural evolution” of his role as an informal adviser to the Democrat’s campaign. He said that his company Google is still “officially neutral.”
Schmidt added that his decision isn’t intended to influence pending government matters that involve Google. The Justice Department has launched a probe into whether to allow the tech company’s ad-sharing deal with Yahoo.
