Palin’s Wardrobe Financier Also Rented to Sen. Coleman
The Republican donor accused of funding $130,000 of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s wardrobe spending also has ties to Sen. Norm Coleman, the Minnesota Republican facing a difficult reelection challenge.
Jeff Larson, a Minnesota-based political telemarketer, had rented the basement of his Washington, D.C. townhouse to Coleman for $600 per month, a rate which Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) alleged was a “gift” under Senate ethics rules.
Larson spent roughly $130,000 on outfits for Palin, the Republican vice presidential candidate. Larson was reimbursed by the Republican National Committee (RNC) for the purchases, according to Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings.
Larson also helps head up FLS Connect, the firm tied to the controversial robo calls targeting Barack Obama this election cycle.
