Zogby Poll: Palin, Romney, Jindal Lead 2012 GOP Pack
Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney are the top two contenders to win the Republican nomination for president in 2012, according to a Zogby poll.
Palin gets the support of 24 percent of Republicans while Romney gets the backing of 18 percent of them in the survey, taken from Nov. 7 to Nov. 18. Romney, however, gets more support for the GOP nomination among all voters; he receives 13.7 percent of their support while Palin got 13.4 percent.
Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal came in third place, garnering the support of approximately 16 percent of Republicans and 12.5 percent of all voters. Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee was in fourth place.
The option for “Someone Else” to win the GOP nod received more support — more than 20 percent — from all voters than any individual candidate.
