Traffic For Video Site Hulu Drops In Post-Palin Era
Hulu, the website for video clips of “Saturday Night Live” and other television shows, saw its traffic drop after the presidential election.
Unique visitors to the site, the home of Tina Fey’s portrayals of Gov. Sarah Palin (R-Alaska), went from 5.3 million in October to 4.8 million in November, notes Media Memo. YouTube, which wasn’t allowed to show the SNL videos, had a miniscule decline of visitors of 0.0006 percent in November.
Only Hulu and NBC.com were legally allowed to host the videos on the Internet.
